One goal of the picnic is to promote dachshund rescue.  Our two main groups represented at the picnic every year are Coast To Coast Dachshund Rescue.  And Dachshund Rescue of North America.

Please take the time to talk to representatives of these terrific rescue organizations to find out all about the work they do, and maybe give a worthy dog a new Forever Home.

The picnic also helps provide the Portage County Dog Warden with a hearty supply of food to help feed all of the pets in need of care.  We ask all picnickers to bring one bag of dry food to donate to their worthy cause.
