The 20th Annual North East Ohio Dachshund Picnic will be held at Plum Creek Park in Kent, Ohio on Saturday July 8th, 2017, from 12pm until 5pm, rain or shine!

The picnic is free, but we do ask for a donation of $1 per dog.

In addition, if you would like to make a donation of a bag of dry dog food, an area will be designated for drop off and will be given to the Portage County Animal Warden. Over the past years, the donations have been quite generous and they are very thankful!

There will also be a variety of awesome raffle prizes available, as well as a 50/50 cash raffle. You must be present to win. Prize winners are drawn after the costume contest which is later in the day.

Food and drink will be available to buy, but feel free to bring your own.... afterall, this is a picnic.

There will also be the colorful costume contest, and balloon animals for the kids!

We are also pleased to announce author Nadine Poper will be a guest at this year's picnic!

Nadine  has two dachshund picture books Dachshunds in Moccasins  and Wienies in Bikinis  with a third doxie book ready to be released July 1st titled Frank Stinks! .

Nadine will be reading one of her books at 2pm!   Children will also be able to make a chocolate edible wiener dog after her reading.

Nadine will be available all day for book sales and signings, and is proudly representing Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue.

We had more than 700 people and 400 dogs at last year's picnic.

Let's hope for another great turnout this year! Rain or shine, we will see you AND your weiner/doxie/dachshund there!

See you soon!
